Introduction of URA Tennis - NEW PROGRAM for 2023

We're delighted to announce the introduction of Tennis to our sports repertoire, thanks to the passion and expertise of Ed McQuillin, former Racquets and Sports Director at Wilmington Country Club and USPTA Master Tennis Professional.

Ed brings years of experience in coaching and directing tennis programs, and he is eager to impart his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game to our young players. Our junior team tennis program, launching this Fall, will cater to children aged 7-12.

Ed will train parents to serve as coaches, making the sport more accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels. We will kick-off the program with a six-week session on Sunday afternoons at a minimal cost. Moreover, Ed's ties with the US Tennis Association have enabled us to secure a grant for necessary equipment and kick-start the program.

 Program Details:

Who: Junior Players

Ages 7-9 (Orange Ball): Sundays 1:00-2:30 pm.

Ages 10-12 (Green Ball): Sundays 2:30-4:00 pm.

What: Low cost program, which includes six tennis sessions and a t-shirt.

When: Sundays from September 10 - October 15, 2023 (6 weeks). Rain date: Sunday, October 22.

Where: Unionville High School Tennis Courts

Why: Because tennis is fun!

How: Engaging format with teams, instructional drills, and modified matches.
