URA Field Hockey Registration 2023 is OPEN NOW through August 5, 2024!
The URA Field Hockey Program is an instructional level program open to girls, entering kindergarten through eighth grades in the fall, who are interested in both learning the fundamentals of field hockey and improving their skills. Our program is designed for the girls to have fun, get exercise, practice teamwork, make friends, and develop their field hockey skills.
Our season generally runs from early September through the end of October. The girls are separated into divisions based on their grade level.
REGISTRATION:
- Registration closes on Monday, August 5, 2024
PRACTICES:
- Kindergarten / 2nd Graders…. 1 hour of practice per week
- 3rd / 4th Graders…. 2 hours of practice per week
- 5th / 6th Graders…. 2 hours of practice per week
- 7th / 8th Graders…. No practices; Games only
GAMES:
Games will be on Saturdays. Our home fields are located on the turf at Patton Middle School.
- Kindergarten / 2nd Graders…. 6 vs. 6, half field, no goalie
- 3rd / 4th Graders…. 6 vs. 6, half field, no goalie
- 5th / 6th Graders…. 11 vs. 11, full field, goalie
- 7th / 8th Graders…. 11 vs. 11, full field, goalie
COST:
The cost of the season will vary by age. There will be a sibling discount of $20 for each additional sibling.
Early Bird Discount until July 5th - $20 off per registrant
Regular Season Pricing – after July 5th
- Kindergarten / 2nd Graders - $130
UNIFORMS:
- K/2 Age Group will receive a game day T-Shirt at the beginning of the season.
- All new members of URA Field Hockey will receive a pinnie as part of their registration.
- All returning members of URA Field Hockey or Lacrosse will wear the URA pinnie that the teams received during the previous seasons with a navy or black short to all practices and games. There will be a chance to purchase a new pinnie if a different size is needed.
EQUIPMENT:
Each player MUST PROVIDE their own stick, shin guards, and mouth guard. Shin guards and mouth guards are mandatory! Field Hockey goggles are required for k/2 division.
VOLUNTEERS:
- Volunteers are always needed. We are always looking for coaches, assistants and operational volunteers at all levels. No prior experience is needed, we will help develop your skills as well.
- Our program is only as successful as the involvement of volunteers allows us to be! Please consider signing up to help by being a coach, age group commissioner and/or operational volunteer.
- Head coaches will receive a discounted registration fee!
